Happy Heart Word

This week I have been learning how to sound out words. We learnt a rule called The Floss Rule. This is when a one syllable word, with a short vowel sound in the middle (and it it ends with a s, f l or z) you write a double consonant for it. For example here are some of the words - floss, cuff, press and fluff.

We have also been learning our heart words. Below are some that I have made. These are words that I need to learn off by heart.

Do you know why these might be heart words?
